Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data DWZVPN processes, why we process it, and the choices available to you across our websites, applications, account services, and VPN subscription service.
1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit a DWZVPN website, create or use an account, purchase or use a subscription, install a DWZVPN application, contact support, or otherwise interact with the service. Deeps Wave Technologies Limited, the legal operator identified on our Contact page, is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
2. Data we collect
Account and subscription data
We process your email address, account identifiers, authentication records, subscription plan, entitlement status, device allowance, and account preferences. Passwords are stored using one-way protection; we do not store your password in readable form.
Payment and transaction data
We process order numbers, plan and price details, currency, payment status, payment-provider references, refund status, and records needed for accounting and fraud prevention. Payment providers process payment credentials such as card or wallet details under their own privacy terms; DWZVPN does not receive complete card numbers.
Application, device, and service data
We may process app version, operating system, device type and architecture, installation or device identifiers, language, selected service region or node, connection times, data-volume counters, diagnostic results, crash information, and security events. This information supports device limits, subscription enforcement, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
Network and website data
Like most online services, our systems may process IP address, request time, requested service endpoint, referral information, and browser or network characteristics. VPN traffic is routed through service infrastructure as technically necessary to provide the connection. We do not sell personal data or use the content of VPN traffic to build advertising profiles.
Support and communications
When you contact us, we process the information you provide, related account and order details, attachments, and our response history.
3. How we use data
- Provide accounts, subscriptions, apps, VPN connections, downloads, and support.
- Authenticate users, maintain sessions, enforce device and data limits, and keep account records synchronized.
- Process purchases and refunds, reconcile payment-provider notifications, and maintain financial records.
- Protect users and infrastructure, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate security incidents, and enforce our Terms.
- Measure service reliability, diagnose failures, improve performance, and develop product features.
- Send transactional notices about accounts, orders, security, service changes, and policy updates.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we specifically request it. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
6. International processing
DWZVPN is a global network service. Personal data may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, including where our infrastructure and providers operate. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers.
7. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. Account and subscription records are generally kept while an account is active. Order, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute records may be kept for longer periods required by law or legitimate business needs. Operational and security records are retained for limited periods appropriate to reliability, abuse prevention, and incident response. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it unless continued retention is legally required.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, encrypted transport, credential protection, monitoring, and restricted production access. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should use a unique password and keep your devices and account credentials protected.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal data, and to appeal or complain to a data-protection authority. You may also close your account or change certain preferences from the account area. To make a privacy request, email support@dwzvpn.com from your account email and describe the request. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
10. Cookies and local storage
Our websites and apps use essential browser storage and similar technologies for authentication, language, theme, security, and core service operation. We may also use limited measurement data to understand downloads and service performance. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings, but doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.
11. Children
DWZVPN is not directed to children under 18, or the higher minimum age required in a user's jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children who cannot legally consent to the service. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate authorization.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service, law, or our practices. We will publish the revised policy at this URL, update the effective date, and provide additional notice when required.
